Manual install issue

Post by jayjay2000 » Mon May 31, 2021 3:55 am

Hi,
I'm trying to install AS in a server that has blocked access to the repos. So I manually downloaded

openvpn-as-2.8.8_cbf850a0-CentOS7.x86_64.rpm

but when attempting to install:

Error: Package: openvpn-as-2.8.8_cbf850a0-CentOS7.x86_64 (/openvpn-as-2.8.8_cbf850a0-CentOS7.x86_64)
Requires: openvpn-as-bundled-clients

I can't find the manual download for that.

Please point me in the right direction,
Thank you

Found at https://openvpn.net/download-open-vpn/

two DL buttons:

AS Client Bundle --> this is where I found it
AS 2.8.8 for Amazon Linux 2 --> this is what I was using, so assumed it would all be in here.

Hello,

I'm glad you were able to find the instructions by yourself. We provide installation instructions for offline installation on our website at the address you mentioned. Depending on which OS you install on, you may need to also install other dependencies such as SQLite and such.

Ideally of course you would just use our software repository and everything gets pulled in automatically. But that may not always be possible.

Kind regards,
Johan
