HOW TO attribute a Tap by ovpn file?

Post by blackexpresso » Sun Dec 23, 2018 4:29 pm

Hello,

I use Windows 10 and openvpn last update.

I use some vpn servers.

I need to know how to attribute and force a Tap by ovpn file?

Thinking the first ethernet name is Ethernet and the Tap names are Ethernet 1, Ethernet 2...

I know it's in ovpn file (linked to the server), but, how to edit for enable this feature?

Thanks

Regards

aZ

Hi,

Juts find how to.

First, rename Tap without space as you want, exemple: MyTap or Ethernet1

In ovpn file, just to add after dev tun but not same line:

dev-node and the Tap name

Example:

dev-nod MyTap

or

dev-nod Ethernet1 (the Tap name have no space for better app reading)

as:

client
dev tun
dev-node MyTap
(...)

or

client
dev tun
dev-node Ethernet 1
(...)
