.bash_history redirect /dev/null

Hi,

I notice that a recently created openvpn access server the .bash_history file is redirecting to /dev/null. This seems suspicious - it's the sort of thing I'd expect from someone malicious trying to cover their tracks.

But if I download a new OVF from https://swupdate.openvpn.org/appliances/AS2.ova I see it's there on a fresh machine, so presumably it's valid.

However - I've got another VM deployed from that OVF before xmas that doesn't have this redirect, and I've not removed it to set up a regular .bash_history file, so it seems like something has changed in the OVF.

Does anyone know if the OVF has been updated to include this change? I'm really hoping I'm missing something stupid but I've spent a lot of this morning assuming a machine might have been compromised so I'd love to know what's going on!

Thanks in advance.
