Accessing VPN with different ip addresses

Hello,

I am a newbie on OpenVPN. I have set up an openvpn server on a fixed ip address and a client on my laptop. It is working perfectly, except when I access the vpn from a different ip address than the one I had when I configured the client settings. So I can access my vpn only from one single ip address. Is it normal ? What can I do to allow my device to access the vpn from everywhere ?
