OpenVPN AS Web UI behind Forward Proxy

Post by a.elnouby » Thu Aug 24, 2017 8:07 am

Hi,

we are already using the VPN server with lots of users successfully. One thing that's currently still missing is making the "Connect" user login page accessible from behind an nginx proxy server.
We allready have a dozen of forward rules in the nginx configuration. But the Access Server configuration doesn't seem to work properly. Everytime I try to access the URL "https://example.com/ovpn" it removes the "/ovpn" part of the URL and shows an error accessing "https://example.com/_session_start_/"
I tried searching on the web for solutions, but couldn't find anything and as an answer to my support ticket I was given the answer that "...we have no instructions at all for configuring the Access Server behind a proxy. We simply do not support it."

Does anyone tried a similar setup and can give me some hints on how to configure it properly?

Thanks and greets

Really sorry, but, yeah, no, we REALLY don't support that. If a user here on the forum has suggestions, feel free to try them out.
I'm still alive, just posting under the openvpn_inc alias now as part of a larger group.
