Single OpenVPN instance and multiple VLAN use the same IP range

Post by foufi » Wed Nov 18, 2020 2:54 pm

Dear community members,

We currently have one OpenVPN virtual machine which runs many openVPN instances. We want to optimize this concept because we use 4096 VLAN.

The problem we encounter is that for each VLAN, we need to create another openVPN instance and then 4096 ports simultaneously.
Perhaps we want to use one unique port on the internet while keeping our 4096 VLAN up. Firstly, we thought it would be possible to pass a parameter to the client's certificate in order to identify the client's vlan. After many research on the forum and other websites, we don't find any adapted solutions.

Does anyone think of a better solution that would solve our problem ? :geek:
