[Solved] Whats the best way to format your ovpn file?
hi, i just install OpenVPN on a Ubuntu vps and all working fine. but i would like to ask(since couldn't find it online), how could we format and make the client ovpn file more readable? i did not create the ovpn file myself, i just download it from the server and its all 'scramble' and so hard to read or change anything.
thank you,
thank you,

well, we like to learn about the different options it offer. so we need to add/edit to it to test now and then. thanks for your input.
p/s - the only way we know is do it manually once and save it as template and use for future. but would like to know if there a better way.

hi, just tried open another 'larger' ovpn file(generated using Softether) and it doesn't look perfect as some line looks too long and drop to the lower line and looks like it might cause issue when open with OpenVPN. but it looks much better than the original 'scramble'. so i thought of saving it then open up in OpenVPN to edit the few 'errors'. but voila, all of them align perfectly again when open in OpenVPN(Edit Config) and it connects
Thank you very much~!

this thread is of zero value to anybody ...
marking as solved is nothing more than click-bait
Openvpn administration would be exposing their disdain for the Users to leave this thread as-is
but this would not be unusual ....
Vote Trump, while you still have the choice.

i beg to differ rgd its useless-ness. as like i mention earlier, i hv been hving this issue for years. and i do believe lots of other hv the same issue as ppl tend to use a text-editor to open up this type of files - out of curiosity mostly(?). but perhaps it is non critical and most ppl will not bother since their main priority is the vpn is working and no need to edit the file
cheers,
cheers,
