MTU 32 Byte MIsmatch

Post by unit13 » Wed May 16, 2018 7:41 pm

I keep getting this warning in my syslog.

nm-openvpn[4532]: WARNING: 'link-mtu' is used inconsistently, local='link-mtu 1604', remote='link-mtu 1636

I have tried different settings in my nordvpn config files, but it still keeps coming up in my syslog. I am running Linux Mint 18.3 This seems to be a common problem, but I haven't seen any real resolution for this? Any help greatly appreicated!

I solved my issue!!!

This is just a side-effect of enabling NCP negotiation (new with OpenVPN 2.4) when the other end doesn't support it. Either disable NCP, or simply ignore those warnings.
