Change Server certificate to cancel all existing VPN

Post by sgaunauy » Tue Jun 11, 2019 5:23 pm

Hi everyone!.

I'm new to Openvpn.

We have this scenario

CA-Server

This is a VM with Ubuntu, where we create the "user vpn", using . ./var and buil-key scripts, etc..

OpenVpn-Server

This is the server where openVPN is installed. CA, key, etc...

I need to create a new Server certificate, create a new Vpn.conf file using this new Server Certificate, create users with this certificate.. test that all works fine and finally, delete the old server certificate.

Is this possible?

I don't know the correct procedure to archive that. I'm affraid of doing something that make all vpn goes down.

Any help is very appreciated.

Thanks!.
