Anonyproz OpenVPN Service Provider

Post by maggot » Sat Jan 23, 2010 8:52 am

Hi,

I'm a newbie and I don,t know how to setup my own OpenVPN and I found this site: http://www.anonyproz.com which offers OpenVPN service . What really interests me about the service they offer is that they offer OpenVPN on alternative 443 ports for those users whose ISPs block OpenVPN. My ISP has blocked openvpn several times and I would like to try out Anonyproz.com service . Anyone ever tried their services?

What do you mean they have blocked OpenVPN several times?

I mean my ISP blocked the default port which OpenVPN uses. (1194) . However as stated in the openVPN site, openvpn now supports port share with https on port 443. Meaning that both https and openVPN can use one single port and it is almost impossible that any ISP will block port 443.

I will update this thread as soon as I signup and I can get Openvpn to work with port 443 from anonyproz.com

Thanks

Hi, sorry for the late reply. I actually have been using since 1 month now and I got exactly what I wanted. Anonyproz OpenVPN provides 6 parallel servers and many of them have port 443 activated so I can authrnticate without any problems. They have very good customer service and excellent uptime.

I noticed this post while looking for reviews and config files for Anonyproz and like to contribute, cause there is still something you need to know when using this vpn provider with openVPN.

When you have OpenVPN installed, you just need to install the config files. They are deeply buried into their knowledge base. You can find it here: http://www.anonyproz.com/supportsuite/i ... d=39&nav=0 It is a rar-file. Just put the contents into the config folder. Afterwards, connect using the "Client" configuration.

PS: Yes, there are a lot of ISP's , Wifi hotspots and hotels wifi's that block everything but port 80 and 443, thus defeating most VPN servers connectivity.
