How to view Security DVR whilst using openvpn client?

Looking for help with openvpn client.
My original setup was with BTHub6 using Port Forwarding for my CCTV DVR worked perfectly.
I have now changed router/modem to Asus AC88U setting up openvpn client to cover everything I have at home.
I have setup Port Forwarding exactly as BTHub6
But canot access DVR remotely (DVR has Static internal ip)
I have fixed IP with Plusnet which remote is looking to same as before
Would you be able to point out where I have gone wrong please
Most advice is to setup openvpn server
But that would remove blanket cover for home network TV's etc.
