Add a remote PC to a Lanparty

Hi there,
between Christmas and newyears a few friends of mine and me wanted to do a litte Lan party.
Unfortunatley one of them moved a few hundred Kilometers away.
Now I wanted to ask if there is an easy solution using OpenVPN to just run it on my PC, be within a LAN with my friends and the remote PC connects to me, also using OpenVPN.
Then I would Host a game in LAN mode and my local friends as well as the remote one should be able to join the same server.
Is this possible? How would I set this up?
Do I need port forwarding or configure anything else on my router?
