What if no system tray?

This is where we can discuss what we would like to see added or changed in OpenVPN.

What if no system tray?

Post by lordbah » Mon Feb 15, 2016 9:54 pm

I'm trying to evaluate OpenVPN for possible use in an environment where there is no system tray. Retail touch-screen kiosks, running Windows 7, all kiosks within a store interconnected. Eventually we'll have to get to a place where connection (and reconnection) are automatic, but while I'm in a learning mode right now it would probably be useful to have some kind of GUI. Is this possible when there is no system tray?

I see this was put in the Wishlist forum so I assume the answer is "No. If you don't have a system tray you are SOL (for now)."

Try this HOWTO:
https://openvpn.net/index.php/open-sour ... ml#startup

You do not need the GUI ..
