getting an open NAT in residence

Post by mark » Fri Sep 09, 2011 12:32 am

hi, wondering if anybody knows if it is possible to fix my problem. I'm living in residence and i have an ethernet outlet that i plug directly into my xbox 360, and the NAT type is coming up on the xbox is strict, and i have no idea how to fix it. it was my understanding that you needed to have a router for this problem to even arise, and i know how to open nat on a router, so i was wondering if there is any way to get an open NAT on my xbox without having access to whatever routing equipment they have in my res. all i have is the ethernet jack in my wall.

anybody?

this does not sound like an openvpn problem at all ; please use your favourite search engine to find a better place to ask your question.

Log in to the router, go to the tools tab, and then to the misc button, look for an option that says "upnp settings" and click on "enabled".
