For lack of a compatibility between a service provider and a security camera app, I was curious if OpenVPN can help. The camera app uses only IPv6 and the cellular provider uses only IPv6. I was hoping that tunneling to the home network would allow the app to reach out through OpenVPN and connect, but the same issues occur. The cameras can be viewed in the app when on any source wifi, but cellular fails. This is being done on an ACRH13 router which has OpenVPN installed.
Also, can anyone dumb down the basic understanding enough of how ipv4 and ipv6 works when tunneling from one ipv to another, such as in this case? I am trying to learn more about ipv6 to better future proof myself.
Thank you kindly.
