How to configure PiVPN for dual-wan load-balancing usage ?

Post by vn_mnm » Thu Aug 19, 2021 4:34 pm

Hello everyone,

I am an amateur networking hobbyist. At the moment, my network map is as below :

I am currently using WAN #2 as the failover interface, but I look forward to changing it to a load balance interface for regular use just like WAN #1. I want to configure the PiVPN to adapt to such a change.

Please advice me how to achieve this ?

Thank you very much in advance.

Where did you get the bizarre idea that Openvpn is a load balancer ?

Thank you for your reply. Er no, I do not think so. Actually my Ubiquiti EdgeRouter X SFP acts as the load-balancing router, while my Raspberry Pi running PiVPN connected to it works as my OpenVPN server. Can I make the PiVPN work in such a dual-wan load-balancing environment buddy ?

If so, can you advice me on how to make it work ? I am just an amateur.

Thank you again buddy. Have a nice day.
