I am new to this but have successfully set up a private VPN on my VPS with a fixed UK IP address.
On the service I am trying to use I can download older items but if I try to stream live, it fails.
Using whatismyip.com's proxy checker, it lists my IP behind a proxy of type DCH, hence (I assume) the failure.
Is there any way around this problem?
Thanks in advance,
Geoff

Re: How do I overcome a DCH proxy server
Which probably means "You are not in the UK and you want to illegally use UK content".
Which probably means "The content YOU want is the very content THEY want to protect".

Which probably means "How can I download this content illegally ?" ..
Ask yourself this:
- What is a DHC Proxy ?
- Where is this DHC Proxy ?
- Is a thread on a public forum the best place to ask how I (an individual) can defeat International Corporations in order to steal their legally protected content ..... ?

Hi
Did not get notified of your response. You are unfortunately wrong on all accounts. My company is in the U.K. Where I pay for my TV licence. Our partners want us to work via a VPN but staff want to access music and live TV from the office whebn working late but the DHC proxy prevents it.
I have spoken directly to the BBC iPlayer team and despite our location they cannot help us. I have set up a second router and network to overcome the problems.
It's usually better to ask questions before shooting off inappropriate opinionated claptrap that does little to enhance the forum.
Hope you do not mind my honesty.
