I tried setting up my OPENVPN with the PIVPN script. When I got to the selection for DNS, I opted for "Custom" after choosing "Use this Public IP" since I wanted to choose a public DNS server in Canada, and all DNS servers listed in the script are in the USA. The install proceeded as usual but at no point did it give me the option to enter the IP address of the public Canadian DNS server I planned to use! Now the install does NOT work, as I expected since I could not enter the DNS server IP address. Using a USA DNS server introduces leaks in my VPN set up and I want to avoid that.
So my questions are:
1) Can I go over the old install with
curl -L https://install.pivpn.io | bash
to correct this, or do I have to start from scratch with a fresh install of Raspbian?
2) How can I achieve the install I am trying to put on my RPi? (install OPENVPN using the PIVPN script with a Canadian DNS server)?
TIA

Re: PIVPN Script Question
I have never used PiVpn, however, you can ssh to rpi and edit your server.conf and add that dns server.
