OpenVPN on Ubuntu 18.04 - IP adress is still the same

Post by tamezzo12.12 » Tue Sep 11, 2018 6:41 am

Hi there everyone, i am a newbie and just beginning with setting up Open VPN. I decided to follow this guide for setting it up:

https://linuxconfig.org/openvpn-setup-o ... aver-linux

I got to step 5, when I type "sudo systemctl is-active openvpn@server" i get the output "active".

However when I check my ip address it is still the same. However when I attempt step 6 in the guide, I get the following error output:

bash: vars: No such file or directory

i tried googling the problem but could not find much. any ideas or tips on how to fix this issue?
