Mint 18 - My server.conf file wont save

OK I'm as new as they come to this stuff..
I have muddled my way through creating certs and modified the server.conf file to point to them. Now I apparently need to put the server.conf file into /usr/share/doc/openvpn so that openvpn starts with the machine in the event of a reboot.
But it wont let me save anything into there.. it just says error moving permission denied.
I dont have the file open (i'm not quite that new). Help please
