how can I use openvpn to specify a program or process to access a vpn.
I have studied this question for a long time. :?

Openvpn does not work in that way.

OpenVPN merely acts as a secure virtual TCP/IP router (or switch). Unless your particular operating-system has some way to limit access to "a particular IP address" (and offhand I know of none that do ...), there's no way to do what you ask.

Notice also this facility, if it did exist, would not care how the traffic was to reach the destination. It would have to be a rule, with some way to identify a particular process (which OpenVPN can't do), with the ability to selectively block traffic to an IP-address. It would live very high in the TCP/IP stack, and it would prevent the traffic from being tendered by any means.

Hi,
i add that i need too this function but i think it's a operating system ability not openvpn.

the best could be to choose we want to access internet or vpn or nothing...same for disk or files.

I hope it will be fix a day
