I was working on a new VPN solution for a client and was running into an issue while testing the exported profiles from the router interface. If I downloaded the profile while using Firefox as the browser, it added junk to the end of the client file (it showed in Notepad++ as "ÿ[NULL][NULL][NULL]"). If I downloaded it while using Chrome as the interface, there was no junk.
Workaround for it (until I discovered Chrome didn't do this) was to open the client file in Notepad or Notepad++ and remove the junk characters from the end, leaving </key> as the last meaningful characters. The profile then loaded beautifully.
I found almost no mention of it while searching the internet except for an old thread here, so I wanted to put it out there in case anyone else was facing the same issue.
Cheers!
