Please let me know what routers are currently working for you with topology subnet and routed LANs. Preferably something low cost and physically not that large.
Edit: this is for a business and I have a strong aversion to companies with bad security history like Linksys, Dlink etc.
Edit2; Prefer no built in WiFi.
My reason for asking:
I am having zero success in getting topology subnet working with routed LANs on Ubiquiti Edgerouter X or Lite devices. Topology net30 works fine with routed LANs on them. Starting to come to the conclusion it's the Edgerouter somehow, and I know that they aren't up to date with OpenVPN due to the CPU/build of Vyatta on the device. I have asked and posted config files here and on Ubiquiti forums with no solution found.
Suggestions on routers compatible with topology subnet with routed LAN

You could look into self build pfSense, just make sure AES-NI is supported because it will become a requirement from version 2.5 onwards.

pfSense sounds like a good idea, I will have to look more into that, thanks. I like that it frees us from a specific hardware vendor as well.

According to your post:

There is no problem using --topology subnet it is a configuration issue.
