Hello everyone,

I'm coming to you because I'm a bit confused. I'd like to set up OpenVPN on a Synology nas server so that I can access resources from home when I'm not there. I'd like to map network drives and print remotely, for example.
The difficulty is that I'd like to avoid using the IP address to avoid having to remember fifty of them. So I'd like to work with a DNS server, which I have configured on my nas server. I've set up the "lan" view and the "van" view. I'd like to know how to make this work with OpenVPN. Thank you in advance for your help, which will be invaluable.

Which bit do you want to use DNS for?

IP address of your synology to connect the OpenVPN session? Or, IP address(es) of internal network resources once the connection is made?

And, what client are you using when out and about?
