OpenVPN not allowing Network Shares in Windows 10

Hi Support

I have setup OpenVPN on an Ubuntu Server on Raspbery Pi 4
I also have a second Ubuntu Server with four shares on it.

I have created profile files for a Windows 10 Laptop, and a pair of Android Phones, and an Android tablet.

The shares work perfectly when connected to my home network, without the VPN

The shares also work from a remote location on the Android devices using OpenVPN

But I can't get the shares to work on the Win10 laptop, after connecting to Open VPN.

I have checked the profiles and they are fine. Even tried a profile I used on one of the Android devices, which I know worked, but still didnt work on the Win10 device.

More info
My home network starts with 192.169.10.*
The network I am currently using and trying to connect from, using OpenVPN is 192.168.100.*

However the android devices are on the same 192.168.100.* network, and work flawlessly

I am using OpenVPN Server on a Raspberry Pi running Ubuntu Linux Server

I used the instructions at this website to set it up
https://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/howto-set ... 16-04-lts/

Can you help?

Hi MickLG,

It should work if you enter the IP address of the system manually. You won't be able to browse for the windows shares on a different subnet. The broadcast won't traverse the subnets.

Hi Jan,

I tried using \\192.168.*.*\etc

But still, I could not open that way. This is only happening on win10 using the OpenVPN Client, it works fine using the Share Names from my Android Device using the OpenVPN client
