Copying userprop db to another openvpn server

Post by jj » Wed Oct 18, 2017 5:33 pm

Hi,
I am trying to copy userdb from one server to another. Both servers have identical configurations. The userdb has users GA secret and I don't want the users to rescan the code when we move servers. After copying, I tried logging in with the old secrets OTP but the new server is giving the 'GA needs to be setup for VPN user'. In the userdb, my user profile has the "pvt_google_auth_secret_locked": "true". I don't understand why it is not working. Any help is much appreciated.

If the user properties database file has the EXACT same user names, then it should read those values just fine.

Why don't you just copy the entire configuration, then you can be sure it works;

I'm still alive, just posting under the openvpn_inc alias now as part of a larger group.
