Server poll timeout

Hi,
Since IOS 10 took away PPTP, I am trying to setup OpenVPN on my iphone with Asus router.
I got passed the Error Loading Profile issue only to run into Connection Timeout issue.
Looking at the logfile, it shows "Server poll timeout".
Search through the forum and Googled for a while now, but I can't find any solution.
I have no clue how to get pass it, please help.

Your client does not know how to contact your server.

Check the name of your server in your VPN client file.

Seems right. It's the server I set up with Asus

Perhaps the server is not online.

Ping works though, so it's online.

Ping does not test your VPN server ..

Check your server log for connection attempts.

Please give a little detail. Check for what? Do you know? There are attempts and the attempts timed out.
