openvpn connectivity issue with client machine

Post by hema » Fri Mar 17, 2017 11:00 am

Hi,
when we are working with openvpn concept to get data from aws ec2 instance to our local system, we are facing the problem with the traffic going out from EC2 box to our local VPN client, we are able to see the request generated from ec2 box but some how the echo reply is not generated and can't ping our vpn client in ec2 box.
and we even worked with market place openvpn we are facing the same issuue,

You do realize this is just a public forum, manned by volunteers, and the occasional OpenVPN Technologies Inc. personnel member, right? And not the official support ticket system? If you want a speedy response use the support ticket system. Sign up at www.openvpn.net and use the 'support' link at the top to reach the support ticket system.

Regarding your question: you need to use packet capturing like tcpdump, and the ping and traceroute commands, to track down exactly where the traffic is being stopped, and then fix it there.
I'm still alive, just posting under the openvpn_inc alias now as part of a larger group.
