Slow responce when changing DNS to 192.168.1.1

Hey everyone, I really need help

I have blocked sites using my router and I am using it as DNS (192.168.1.1), and when connecting openvpn and changing the DNS to the router only, it will be very slow, I have to wait 5-10 seconds every time I open a site, once it responses it will load very fast.

And when trying to ping, it will wait for also 5-10 seconds to get the server from the DNS, then the response time is just few milliseconds.

I am using latest OpenVPN 2.6.6 and I didn't try any older version.

Using the vpn DNS is ok, only when changing it to the router DNS it will be slow.

And no worried I have no DNS leak when changing my DNS to the router, as I have configured it to the VPN dns

Edit: No issues if I set my DNS to other servers, for example 1.1.1.1 it is just my router 192.168.1.1
