OpenVPN for Windows issue, unable to read username/pw from interface

After a few hours I may get disconnected from my vpn. When I try to reconnect I sometimes get this

ERROR: could not read Auth username/password/ok/string from management interface

Very annoying. I'm not sure why the issue is. Suggestions? Thanks!
