noob needs help setting up vpn

hi all, i live in las vegas, and my mom lives in atlanta. i want to be able to connect to her home network from my computer when i am not here. i play online poker, and the site i play on doesn't allow players from nevada, so i need my location/ip to show as georgia. i bought an asus RT-ACRH13, and i put my mom's xfinity modem/router in bridge mode. then i exported the client.ovpn to my desktop and imported the file to the openvpn gui on my computer. when i right click the openvpn icon in my taskbar and go to connect, it starts trying to connect, but it keeps cycling these errors. any ideas on what i'm doing wrong? maybe because i am already connected to that network? do i need to be on another connection to connect to my moms network through vpn? any help is greatly appreciated.
