Hi
I have openvpn client running on a number of Raspberry Pi's. On Pi 2's running version 2.2.1 openvpn.openvpn.pid is created in /var/run when the service starts. On Pi 3's running version 2.3.4 it is not.
I monitor process using the pid file.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Missing openvpn.openvpn.pid
Hi,
Just reread my post. Could have been a little clearer.
I monitor the openvpn process by getting a program called monit to check query the openvpn.pid file and I assume make the sure the process id in the pid file is running. Because the pid file is not created (I don't think) monit continually tries to restart openvpn.
Any hints to why the openvpn.openvpn.pid is not created on the Pi 3 running 2.3.4? Can I provide any other information?
Thanks
