It used to be that my OpenVPN would hang monthly or so or sometimes upon me bringing my laptop out of hibernation. All I to do was disable/enable the OpenVPN network adapter and restart the service on my laptop.
But now I have to reboot my server. Which is very inconvenient as this is now happening pretty much daily. The server is Windows 2003. My laptop is Windows 7 Ultimate.
The OpenVPN has been re-installed on both systems in the last few days so it's current.
Any suggestions?

Re: OpenVPN hanging/freezing daily
Show the log file from the server with verb 4. Did you unchecked the option in device manager for the tap adapter so it will not be disconnected to save energy?

I have a similar issue.
The VPN connection hangs completely or freezes. This affects large file transfers.
