Each time I try to install OpenVPN, the TAP driver install times out. During this time, Device Manager shows a TAP driver appearing in the Network Adapters section. However, after the driver install times out, it changes to Unknown Device. The OpenVPN install then completes.
I am running Windows 10 and have tried OpenVPN 2.3.8, 32-bit and 64-bit (ran as admin), but the same issue occurs.
Any ideas gratefully appreciated.
Thanks.

Re: TAP Driver install fails
Same identical issue here, the tap-windows installer is always stuck at this point.
I've also tried to manually add the driver from the device manager by installing OemVista.inf located in the installation folder C:\Program Files\TAP-Windows\driver
