Hello,
I am testing a router that allows me to create OpenVPN servers and clients with ease. I created an OpenVPN TAP(bridged) server and I noticed I could add push options and I got confused: why would you need to push routes if client and server are supposed to be in the same subnet anyway? So I guess my questions are:
1. Do you need push options on an OpenVPN TAP(bridge) server?
2. Do the client and the server have to be in the same subnet in order for the bridged connection to work? Or is this a myth I made up (because when I tried it, it didn't work when the subnets were different)?
These maybe newbie questions but surprisingly I had a hard time getting info on this from google searches. Can someone help?
Can you use push routes on TAP(bridged) OpenVPN

Better to read HOWTO: For OpenVPN Community Edition and learn all about it
