[iOS 8.3] Instant crash on start

Post by alexschomb » Tue Jun 30, 2015 11:34 am

Hey there,

since upgrading to iOS 8.3 on my j-b iPhone 5S I can't get OpenVPN Connect to work anymore. The app instantly crashes after tapping on its icon. I can see the splash screen for a second and then I get redirected back directly to the iOS home screen. I already deleted the app itself, restarted and reinstalled. No joy. I uploaded the CrashReport for your consideration.

Thanks your help! :)

I finally managed to find a workaround in an older thread:
https://www.reddit.com/r/jailbreak/comm ... rs/clq0krb

OpenVPN Connect doesn't allow any other VPN app to be installed on the device.

This can be remedied by downloading and installing CorrectOpenVPN:

Yeah, old thread, I got it, trust me. I have used CorrectOpenVPN on my iPhone 6Plus for some time now. Yesterday I got a new iPad Air 2 64 GB WiFi only and used TaiG jailbreak for the iOS version 8.1 installed on the device (new untouched factory state). I installed the .deb file and it shows up in Cydia as being installed. However, OpenVPN still crashes immediately after launching it. I got OpenVPN from the App Store today. Can anyone help? I have no issues with the setup on my iPhone that is running iOS 8.1.2 and the new iPad is only 8.1 ... can someone else figure out how to get OpenVPN to stop crashing as it used to? Is it my version of software, iOS or something? Would love to get it working as needed

Thanks
