http-proxy with Basic Auth over iOS

I am trying to connect through an HTTP proxy using basic auth:

http-proxy 10.128.1.69 80 so.txt basic

I added my ovpn profile and the txt files through iTunes/Apps, but OpenVPN Connect did not "grab" the file that contains the basic auth info when installing the profile.

So it doesn't appear to be authenticating.

Is there a way around this?

I found that the proxy settings are done through Settings and it is working.

I'm thinking it still may be nice to specify this at the config file level, because I can think of cases where I may need to use the proxy and others where I won't. It would be nice to have the proxy activate depending on the profile selected.
