Hello to all, I am trying to push my internal DNS servers, configured on OpenVPN server running on PFSense 2.3 to a Android Client (5.0). Ive tried all the configurations I could find, manually pushing the DNS servers, automatically pushing, routing every traffic to the VPN Tunnel, and nothing, cant get the internal DNS servers on the Android. VPN tunnel is successful established.
I can access my internal server by IP only and all DNS queries I made is externally resolved.
Please help!
(The phone is not rooted and i dont want to do that just because of OpenVPN)
On Ubuntu I had a similar issue, but found a solution using the "up" and "down" scripts for registering the DNS servers.
In windows and MAC and Iphone clients I didnt tested yet
Why so much trouble sending new DNS servers to the clients?....
Thank you
Luis Neves

Re: DNS setting in Android (SOLVED)
Found the answer.... the android was indeed doing DNS queries to my internal servers, but local iptables was denying the communication.... my fault
