So I have used the Android OpenVPN connect app before on this phone And not had any issues. But recently nothing happens, literally. I have a client file which I know works. I have tested it on my PC, my MacBook, and my wife's Nexus 5x running Android 7 via the OpenVPN connect app
All of them connect with no issues to my home server.
However, when I try to connect, using the same client file, on my Nexus 6p running Android 7 via OpenVPN connect, nothing happens. I import the file, input my credentials, hit the connect button, and nothing. No pop-ups no warnings no messages, nothing. It is as if something isn't registering me pressing the connect button .
I have tried a few other OpenVPN apps and the same thing happens: nothing.
I have wiped them cache, uninstalled the apps, reinstalled them, etc, and nothing seems to work.
Any ideas as to what is happening?
Nothing happens on my Nexus 6p ... Ideas?

I'm experiencing the same thing on Nexus 5X, OpenVPN Connect 1.1.17, Android 7.0.
Log File shows PROFILE_IMPORT_SUCCESS but when I click Connect button, Nothing

I figured out my issue. I had Wi-Fi Assistant enabled under VPN.
