Cannot edit my posts, why?

I was going to edit my first post in a thread I created in order to add (solved) to the title, but there was no edit button available...
Why is this?
On most other forums you are able to edit your posts to fix errors or update some info, but it seems like this is not available here.
And another item is the locking of some threads, what is causing this and how is it done?

As I said I wanted to change this thread so it shows that it is solved or similar.
Maybe you can do that then?
