account creation email rejection logic is wrong

account creation email rejection logic is wrong

The login page rejects + in email addresses.

Thus name+folder@example.com is considered incorrect, yet the + sign is an RFC accepted character in email.

We're looking into this. Our password manager is third-party software, so we'll need to patch it to get this to work.

This issue was reported to us a few years ago, and I reported it back to the developers of the self-service password application we use. I'll check what the current status is and report back. If they're using their own email address parser then I could patch that part of the code myself.
