Configuration disappearing from OpenVPN Connect client on reboot (macOS)

We're using OpenVPN Connect (version 2.1.1.101) to connect our macOS clients to our OpenVPN AS server. The first time a user connects everything works fine, but if they reboot the configuration for the remote server disappears and the user no longer has the option to connect. The configuration is still be present in /Library/Application Support/OpenVPN/profile/ and the user's .openvpn_connect.json files but the client does not appear to load them. This is on macOS 10.12.3 and we're seeing it across half a dozen or so Macs. Anyone else having this issue?
