Hi there,
This is in regards to the virtual appliances that are made available for download, specifically Hyper-V but relevant in some ways to the others as well.
I'm not sure if you're aware, but later distros of Linux have support for the Hyper-V integration components & synthetic drivers, which means significantly better networking and storage performance across the board, time sync, shutdown integration etc.
A couple of examples:
Ubuntu 12.04 LTS - built in
CentOS 6 - see (http://www.microsoft.com/en-nz/download ... x?id=34603)
It would be great if you could release updated versions of all the virtual appliances, with the latest versions of their respective integration tools as what is currently offered is a tad of date. If this isn't possible, some guidance available on upgrading not just the OpenVPN-AS software, but the VM operating system software as well, will enable users to have the best possible experience with this great product. Maybe even some guidance to migrate configurations to newer VM's if direct upgrades aren't possible?
I'm writing this as I build myself a new Hyper-V VM based on CentOS 6 and will try to put up a blog post about my experience with installation, as well as a performance comparison when I get some spare time.
Cheers!
Hyper-V Virtual Appliance updates :)

Re: Hyper-V Virtual Appliance updates :)
nb The integration components are not built into CentOS 6.3 (see download link above). They should be included in 6.4 (see RHEL 6.4 release notes https://access.redhat.com/knowledge/doc ... index.html)

nb2 Extended support for Ubuntu 8 LTS, which the VMs are based on, expires in April this year (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases).
