hi,
Would like to setup an openvpn server and create a permanent tunnel to this from a Cisco EPC3925 modem/router. Now I'm either not looking in the right places, or this is something brand new that nobody has thought of (which I can barely imagine). Can somebody point me in the direction of how to configure this (server and client side)?
thnx

Well, going through the device's settings, it seems possible to create a tunnel to a VPN server. Please refer to:

...or does this functionality provide for something else than I'm looking for?

OK thanks, so this is for IPSEC only?
If yes, than I will problably need another device in front of the modem I suppose. Reviewing the differences between IPSEC and OpenVPN I favour OpenVPN because of speed, usability and security over IPSEC.
Can you advise on any such device (capable of being a constant openvpn client), preferably small, low-energy consuming?
thnx

OK, I would than need another standalone device in front of the router I assume, can you (anybody else) advise on what device would be needed in that case?

Technically, it is behind the router ..blavent wrote:I would than need another standalone device in front of the router I assume
EG:
Code: Select all
OVPN Client ==[lan]== Router --- [internet] --- Router ==[lan]== OVPN Server
