OpenVPN AS admin multifactor authentication

Post by sam.shih » Wed Jul 12, 2017 5:29 pm

Hi all! I've recently set up an OpenVPN Access Server 2.1.9, and I was wondering if the admin user (defaulted username to openvpn) could go through some form of 2FA or LDAP integration. As I have hooked up an LDAP server for authentication for the rest of the users.

Or if the admin user must be protected by a password, if I could limit the privileges that the accounts had. I don't want there to be an account just protected by one password that has that many privileges to turn off the server, users, license, etc.

Thanks!
