I have a strange problem. When I connect to my network using OpenVPN (with routing on) I can ping, use the DNS and access internet, but for some reason I'm not able to map a network drive. I also noticed that the ping was quite high in this scenario.
However, when I configure the access server to NAT the traffic to the LAN everything works correctly. I made a firewall rule that allows all the traffic that goes in from LAN and then back out from LAN (At first even the ping didn't go through, but this rule fixed that problem).
Can't map network drive, but ping, DNS and Web works

In my experience, this is a firewall issue, or you lack routes along the way.
I'm still alive, just posting under the openvpn_inc alias now as part of a larger group.
