Auto fill user/ pass

First post! Trying to configure auto fill user/ pass. Running openvpn v10 on windows. When i look at my config folder, all that is in there, is a readme.txt and the folder of udp servers with a dedicated port. As there is nothing else, i assume i have to open individually each server location and add/ modify the line auth-user-pass(add password.txt) and createva txt file named password with my details entered and place it in the config folder...anyway it doesnt connect.. The login box stays empty and it finally says cant connect.

Whats the syntax needed, : marks between the username and the and the actual username, a 'space'?
Hope its something simple i have left out or not doing?
