Setting VPN between router and internet provider

Postby burningmeat » Sun Jan 25, 2015 1:31 pm

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for paid VPN service which can be inserted before my router and internet provider so that several computers in my home can hide behind the VPN.
So I'm searching internet with keywords 'VPN' & 'router' but it was in vain.
All I could find was that 'Setting my router for private VPN server'.

So, is it possible to set VPN between my router and internet provider?

If so, please let me know.

My best regards.

some routers support openvpn client functionality,
then all you need is to buy an openvpn based vpn service.

Thanks a lot!

It's my first hearing about that but it seems that that's definitely what I have been looking for!

So, do you have any recommendation? like brand or specific model?

Thanks for your reply!

I haven't heard about router with 'OpenVPN client' functionality but it seems that it is definitely what I have been searching for!

So do you have any recommendation about this router with specific brands or models?

openwrt & ddwrt project include openvpn support,
check them to see on which hardware they can be installed.
