Using Amazon's Free Tier to get a free VPN server for a year

I was sitting on the couch one night when I came up with the idea of what the performance would be like to use Amazon's free tier usage to get my own VPN server going. Needless to say, not only was it a huge success, but it's redundant (built on the EC2 infrastructure) and very reliable.
