Re: OpenVPN for Windows Mobile 10
This would be a key part of my remaining with Windows 10 Mobile. I currently use a L2TP/IPSEC vpn and would like to move to using the VPN diagnosed as the most secure.
Please support W10M by contacting Microsoft and getting their help. They support other VPN solutions and with the rise of OpenVPN in the enterprise world it is key that they provide you with the support you need to roll out to Windows 10.

Baenwort: Exactly - I guess Microsoft will give them support and help if they ask for it.

This is the one app windows 10 is missing that I want most. I use OpenVPN on my Surface products but not having it on my Windows phone means have to run two VPN Servers to have full connectivity to my home network. Can you covert the current Windows build to a UWP app? That solve our ask and give you support for two platforms with one code base.

Re: OpenVPN for Windows Mobile 10
I also want to use my Windows Mobile phone to connect to an Open VPN server. Is it possible to make such an app?

Also signed up to +1 this.
Maybe if one if the dev's didn't mind we could start a fund for a 3rd party developer to make it for them... But we would need permission to do such a thing of course .

Cisco AnyConnect works perfectly on Windows Mobile 10, so I don't see a reason why OpenVPN shouldn't be possible to implement

Re: OpenVPN for Windows Mobile 10
OpenVPN is too much Linux oriented (TAP/TUN driver) and far away from any RFC standard, so it will be hard work to switch it to W10M VPN API. On Windows desktop there is some (badly written) tun/tap driver so it works (somehow). But they can't do this on W10 mobile, because it does not allow install kernel drivers easily (thanks god). Also OpenVPN guys are too Linux only oriented, so we can't hope they will read any Windows documentation only because of their belief. Their argument that WM platform has only 1% users is ridiculous when Linux client also exists.
I recommend to switch to any standardized ipsec solution (I use strongswan) which works very well on W10 mobile.

vlipert@seznam.cz: I guess you are right about the OpenVPN developers' belief
Unfortunately I can't change our work VPN endpoint to anything else.

Re: OpenVPN for Windows Mobile 10
gracet: That's pretty simple - I am an employee, not an IT administrator, so I have no access to VPN configuration
